# Le 3 juillet 1895 naissait à Peterhof Irina, princesse du sang impérial, fille du grand-duc Alexandre Mikhaïlovitch et de la grande-duchesse Xenia

Le 3 juillet 1895 naissait à Peterhof Irina, princesse du sang impérial, fille du grand-duc Alexandre Mikhaïlovitch et de la grande-duchesse Xenia. Le père de la princesse Irina était un petit-fils de Nicolas Ier par le plus jeune fils de celui-ci, sa mère la sœur de Nicolas II. En 1914, Irina Alexandrovna épousa le prince Félix Youssoupoff, comte Soumarokov-Elston ; le mariage fut célébré dans l'église du palais Anitchkov. En épousant un homme qui n'était pas du sang impérial, Irina signa une renonciation à ses droits au trône. Les Youssoupoff quittèrent la Russie en 1919, lors de l'évacuation de Crimée, à bord du paquebot britannique Marlborough ; ils vécurent en France jusqu'à la fin de leurs jours, et Irina Alexandrovna s'éteignit en 1970\. Irina et Félix eurent une seule fille, Irina Youssoupoff.
