# Pilgrims visit two panes of glass with the face of John the Baptist in a church in Mayakovsky

Residents of Mayakovskoye, a village in the Kaliningrad region, bear witness to the miraculous appearance of the face of John the Baptist on a pane of glass in the church of the Great Martyr Panteleimon.

Clergy of the church relate that in 2020, at the onset of the pandemic, the glass covering the icon of John the Baptist began to turn white. Later, on the Nativity of John the Forerunner, 7 July, the imprint of a face was discovered on the glass. After a second pane had been fitted over the icon, the face of the Forerunner appeared on that too.

Pilgrims are now flocking to the two panes bearing the image of John the Forerunner, displayed in the church at Mayakovskoye.
