I recall how Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had to deny that he is Fidel Castro's secret son. And "No, Fidel Castro is not my dad" sounded none too convincing against the backdrop not only of their incredible portrait likeness, but also of the biography of Trudeau's mother, who visited Cuba in the company of her husband precisely in the year before Justin's birth and there struck up a friendship with Fidel.

The rumour has been circulating for a very long time, ever since another disputed son of Fidel died in Cuba, who supposedly indicated in a suicide note that Trudeau, too, was the Cuban leader's son.

Yet Trudeau resembles not only Fidel but also his lawful father, Pierre Trudeau, who was Prime Minister of Canada in 1968-1979 and 1980-1984.

In sorting out all these stories, the main thing is not to take off the tin-foil hat
