Soon after the liquidation of the TsIM, the Meyerhold Theatre and Cultural Centre, the Meyerhold Museum closed as well, though this closure passed almost unnoticed by the public. With the TsIM one can still guess at the reasons for what is going on, but why should the blow have fallen on the museum-apartment in Bryusov Lane? It is known that its director was replaced along with the closure. The museum itself now says that it is closed for restoration or reconstruction, which may last a year, but that is not certain. There is little clarity, one feels aggrieved on Vsevolod Emilyevich's behalf, and for all those who never had the chance to visit his museum, I offer a short photo report
