Have you ever seen an iron bed like this? A unique piece of furniture!

It is made of wrought iron with openwork decoration of foliage and bouquets of flowers. This is a travelling bed, easy to dismantle and transport, which you can always take along if you set off on a long journey with your retinue and fear that the inn on your route may turn out to be a mere wayside tavern.

In countries such as Spain, where wrought-iron work forms an important part of the decorative arts, canopied beds of this kind were in their day a genuine luxury. By the way, what period do you think this bed belongs to?

The sixteenth century!

Height: 270 cm; length: 152 cm; depth: 240 cm.

Priced at around 40,000 euros
