Yesterday Sistema Gallery opened three exhibitions at once, to mark the gallery's third birthday. The project that impressed me most was Daria Pasechnik's "Posts from Nowhere", done in an enchanted, fairy-tale style. The artist explains that she is exploring the longing for visual and emotional escapism as a response to the oversaturation of digital reality.

The title alludes to a meme showing fairy-tale or mystical spaces, captioned "This is where I post from".

Drawing on fairy-tale aesthetics, Daria has created a series of 12 paintings in which the artefacts of a fantastical world are viewed through the prism of digital pop culture. Princesses' gowns, sorceresses' legs, knightly armour, ladies' jewellery and amulets appear in an extraordinary magical aesthetic, as if inviting the viewer into their world.

The exposition is accompanied by a sound composition written especially for the exhibition together with the interdisciplinary artist Stasya Batskikh, a resident of the label "GOST Zvuk", as well as by jewellery made after motifs from the paintings.

The other two exhibitions are Dasha Maltseva's solo show "Network of Artefacts", devoted to reflections on the role of art in conditions of permanent cultural transformation, and the group project "Personnel Department**" with** works by Nastya Antipova, Dasha Arbuzova, Dasha Barybina, Syugir Buluktaev, Misha Buroy, Andrey Dvin, Magomed Kazhlaev, Dasha Kalugina, Alyona Kirtsova, Ira Lensberr, Dasha Maltseva, Rudi Molachek, Sasha Puchkova, Rostan Tavasiev, Yury Shabelnikov and Misha Most.
