Well, don't laugh, but I have started another channel. This time it is about the history of medieval Asia. I shall be writing about what, regrettably, was missing from my textbooks: the aristocracy of the East, the origins of the customs of rank and estate, the reverse side of the khan's power, the structure of traditional society and the actual workings of the feudal institutions of the Horde, the steppe court, the exploits of the batyrs and the abduction of brides. And, for good measure, about how a Kazakh woman led a Russian governor-general by the nose. So welcome to my dastarkhan!
