The Smolensk State Museum-Reserve as it already stands today includes the Art Gallery, the "Smolensk Flax" Museum, the S.T. Konenkov Sculpture Museum, the Historical Museum, the "Smolensk Region in the Years of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" Museum, the "In the World of Fairy Tales" Museum, the "Town Smithy of the 17th Century" Museum, the Museum of Nature and Ecology, the "A.T. Tvardovsky in Smolensk" Museum-Apartment, the "Teremok" Historical and Architectural Complex, the "Town Smithy of the 17th Century" Museum (again), as well as branches in the Smolensk Region: the M.I. Glinka Museum-Estate, the N.M. Przhevalsky House-Museum, the Museum of Partisan Glory, the A.T. Tvardovsky House-Estate and the M.A. Yegorov House-Museum. If this murky concept implies adding Khmelita to the list, then the prospect is sadder still: to be lost among a dozen entries and drowned in bureaucratic fuss.

O common sense, spare Khmelita!
