"In Moscow, near the Kremlin, the Palace of Soviets is being built. It will be the tallest structure on earth, higher than the Egyptian pyramids, the Eiffel Tower and the American skyscrapers. The Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the parliament of the only truly democratic country in the world, will sit in it. A statue of Lenin a hundred metres high will stand on top of the building. In clear weather, seventy kilometres from Moscow, we shall see on the horizon the figure of Ilyich with his arm stretched out before him. By night the brightly lit silhouette of Ilyich will become a grandiose beacon... The borders of states will vanish from the map of the world. The very landscape of the planet will change. And the Palace of Soviets, crowned with the statue of Ilyich, will stand for ever, never growing old, on the bank of the Moskva River."

A few visualisations of Moscow with the 415-metre Palace of Soviets, as it would look had it actually been built. In my opinion, this is better than Moscow City with its maximum height of 373 metres and the many other skyscrapers that have changed the city's panorama.
