The Museum of the Defence of Moscow holds a Group Portrait of the Descendants of A.S. Pushkin Who Took Part in the Great Patriotic War, 1957, by the artist Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Vladimir Pereyaslavets. The portrait does not gather all of Pushkin's descendants who served in the war: the Danilevskys, Pisnyachevsky, Klimenko, the Michaels, Werner and the Vorontsov-Velyaminovs are absent, but the work is very interesting. The great-grandson and great-great-grandsons (through Alexander Alexandrovich), Grigory Grigoryevich Pushkin and the brothers Alexander and Oleg Vsevolodovich Kologrivov, the great-great-great-grandsons (through Vera Alexandrovna), Boris and Sergey Borisovich Pushkin (who, incidentally, are also Görings, though of the Görings who have lived in Russia since the eighteenth century), and the great-great-grandson Sergey Yevgenyevich Klimenko: these men never assembled in such a company, it is an artistic invention, so the portrait could have been more populous still, holding as many as 13 of the poet's descendants who were veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
