Meanwhile, Dostoevsky, one of the country's finest bookshops, is representing Russia and Russian literature at the Lisbon Book Fair, one of the oldest cultural festivals in Portugal. On the stand I see not only the classics and editions devoted to Dostoevsky, but also a good deal of ordinary Russian-language reading matter - so as to present our literary process in full. What can one say, a worthy undertaking. If you find yourself in Lisbon, do not walk past. Indeed, you may go on not walking past until as late as 12 September
