Tatler has taken note of gracefully greying celebrities, among them Princess Caroline of Hanover, Queen Letizia of Spain and, the most striking of all, Elizabeth McGovern. The steel-coloured locks swept back from the face of the 60-year-old American actress, who played the mistress of Downton Abbey, together with her red lipstick and off-the-shoulder dress, drew every eye at the London premiere of the new instalment of the series, Downton Abbey: A New Era. Once again I thank the creators of "Abbey" for the number of actors who became my favourites thanks to this project. Please, everyone, look at how gorgeous McGovern is. Letizia and Caroline too, but Liz is simply the standard of outward aristocratic bearing. She reminds me of my grandmother in some way, incidentally.
