Among the guests at Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897 were Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich and his wife, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. It was the first celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of a monarch's reign in English history. The second Diamond Jubilee was marked by Elizabeth II, and ten years later came her Platinum Jubilee.

Elizabeth II reigned for 70 years and 214 days, Victoria for 63 years and 216 days. George III reigned for 59 years and 96 days, though for the last 9 years he was incapacitated.
