Let us keep in our ears the faint voice of Pope Francis, who blessed Rome. The Pope who blessed Rome gave his blessing to the whole world that Easter morning. Allow me to continue that blessing. God loves us. God loves everyone. Evil will not prevail.

This is the first greeting of the risen Christ, the good shepherd, who gave his life for God.

I would like this greeting of peace to enter our hearts and our families.

I would also like to thank all my brother cardinals, who chose me as the successor of Peter and walked with you as one church. Always seeking peace and justice. Striving to work with men and women who are faithful to Jesus Christ without fear, to proclaim the Gospel, to be missionaries.

We must strive together to become a missionary church. A church that builds bridges and dialogue
