# King Richard's last battle and the examination of his remains showing many wounds

Today is the day of the death of Richard III, killed at the Battle of Bosworth as the result of a betrayal.

According to legend, despite the treachery of Lord Stanley, which decided the outcome of the battle, Richard plunged into the enemy camp with a small band of knights to kill Henry Tudor, and very nearly succeeded, when he was surrounded by 2,000 men.

Examination of the king's remains confirmed that he died of numerous wounds to the whole body and the head. He fought to the last.
