# Primaticcio’s 1540 Spring Costume and the Living Trees in Alexander Rou’s “Morozko”

On the one hand, these costumes resemble the work of contemporary Russian designers. On the other, they are very interesting and, in their own way, beautiful, if alarming.

Costume of the animated trees from the fairy tale "Morozko" in the 1964 production by the director Alexander Rou, designer Arseny Klopotovsky; the same trees appear in the 1972 film "The Golden Horns".

It is hard to say which costume is the more frightening, but at KM20 either of them would fetch no less than two hundred thousand.
