The event will present comics and video games as forms of contemporary art. In collaboration with the Fan Fest festival, a special project, "Forward to the Future. A Journey into the Territory of New Art Forms", will open on the fair's premises, with video games and comics on show as exhibits.

Popular culture will also be woven into the forum programme: art historians and experts will look at comics and video games from a fresh angle and set out to prove that the new art forms possess enormous timeless potential.

Video games will occupy a special place in the programme. In their development they have by now outgrown mere entertainment: they are fully fledged works with distinctive features, meanings and devotees of their own.

As part of the fair's business programme, a special session will be held on 31 March, in which participants, in the form of solo presentations and discussions, will speak of the influence of the new art forms on culture and society.
