# Applications open for the second National Prize for Cultural Sector Managers

The heads of museums, theatres, libraries and other cultural institutions can receive 1 million roubles for their work. Such a financial reward is provided by the National Prize for Cultural Managers, for which applications opened today.

The prize is being held for the second time, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Tavrida art cluster. It honours those who are responsible for the organisational side of cultural life: who run institutions, bring teams together and see projects through to completion. This work does not often become news in its own right, although it determines whether an exhibition, a play or a festival takes place at all.

Heads of educational institutions, representatives of the relevant government bodies, and organisers and producers of cultural projects may also take part, from the municipal to the federal level.
