A celebrated quotation from the Portuguese Catholic nun Sister Lúcia (1907-2005), one of the three witnesses of the Fátima apparitions of the Mother of God in 1917.

According to the Fátima prophecy, the Virgin Mary asked for Russia to be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart, in order to avert divine punishment in the form of wars, famine and the persecution of the Church.

We already know that this consecration was never performed.

But what if, when Sister Lúcia said that Russia would become God's instrument for the chastisement of the world, she had in mind a challenge to the global empires?
