The Causes of the War.

Did Henry V have any real motive for invading France? Well, if one imagines that the son of a usurper might wish to shore up his contested legitimacy on the throne, say, by uniting the crowns in accordance with the testament of Edward III.

Moreover, William Gascoigne, the instigator of war with the French, played by Sean Harris, was not merely never an adviser to the young king, but openly opposed him even in the lifetime of Henry IV, for which he was shown the door soon after the young Prince of Wales came to the throne in 1413.
