> Of late American women have been seized by a sort of décolletage mania. Evening dress has, in the shortest possible time, descended quite literally to the limit beyond which it is more than risky to go. Nor is low dress worn only at soirées and dinners: it is worn in everyday life too, and even old ladies of 60 and 70 bare themselves to the last possible degree, which provokes a feeling that is anything but aesthetic. The photograph shows the latest cry of American fashion: a completely open gown. In this gown the back is bared to the waist. It is interesting to note that the Americans have Draconian laws on morality, yet in America extremes live happily side by side
