# Tom Sawyer Fest begins restoring the Pribytkovo dacha in Gatchina on 27 July

How heartening that Russia has people like the team and volunteers of [Tom Sawyer Fest](http://tsfest.ru/?ref=theparnassian.com). If you have not yet heard of this organisation, you will like it: people united by a love of the historical and cultural heritage of their native parts simply rescue decrepit, abandoned and ruined monuments. Voluntarily, professionally and with heart. I follow the projects of Tom Sawyer Fest closely; they have already been carried out in many cities, though not yet in Moscow. On 27 July the participants of the festival of restoring the historical environment began a new project at the dacha Pribytkovo in Gatchina. Anyone who wishes may take part in restoring this charming little house, and all the details are in the [group](https://vk.com/tsf%5Fpribytkovo?ref=theparnassian.com). Incidentally, if you are not in Saint Petersburg or the Leningrad region and cannot come, there is also the chance to take part in the [fundraising](https://vk.com/topic-192883840%5F41965821?ref=theparnassian.com) for the needs of the project. You can find out whether there are already Tom Sawyers in your city on the festival's website, and if there are not, you can fill in an application there and become the first activists at home.
