# A week ago I wrote about the then forthcoming exhibition of collector Zoya Galeeva's collection at the Anna Nova gallery in Saint Petersburg

Today I offer a friendly reminder that the exhibition is open and ready to receive guests and residents of the cultural capital.

Zoya Galeeva has for the first time presented to the wider public her rich collection of exhibits, assembled over the past five years. The display comprises some 80 works of painting, graphic art, photography, sculpture and ceramics, from artefacts of the Yuan dynasty to works by David LaChapelle, Irina Korina, Haim Sokol and Alexandra Garth.

The conceptual thread of the exhibition project is Carl Gustav Jung's notion of the "shadow", the rejected part of the human psyche. In this context collecting becomes a way of encountering the unconscious, and the choice of works is not merely an aesthetic decision but an act of self-knowledge
