Museum life is not confined to the big cities. In Sarapul, for example, the House-Museum of the mining engineer and academician Nikolai Melnikov (1909-1980) is showing “Brockhaus and Efron: The History of One Encyclopaedia” until the end of the year, marking 130 years since the publication of the first volume of the famous encyclopaedic dictionary. The exhibition of bibliographical monuments is accompanied by a lecture on all the editions of the encyclopaedia.
