The Moscow Museum of Modern Art, together with The Art Newspaper Russia, has presented the project ["This Is the Best We Have". The Art Newspaper Russia's Choice](https://mmoma.ru/visit/gallery/tanr%5Fchoice/description?ref=theparnassian.com).

The exhibition is a retrospective of Russian contemporary art over more than half a century. The display includes selected works created from the 1960s to the present day, which were discussed in the interviews collected in The Art Newspaper Russia's book «25 Interviews with Contemporary Artists. 2014-2024», as well as works that were shown at the exhibitions to which those publications were timed.

The phrase «This Is the Best We Have», which gives the project its title, is borrowed from Valery Chtak, who died recently and whose works are also on show.

The exhibition presents works by Ilya Kabakov, Erik Bulatov, Igor Makarevich and Elena Elagina, Boris Orlov, Leonid Sokov, Pavel Pepperstein, Valery Chtak, Konstantin Zvezdochetov, Valery Koshlyakov and others.

The exhibition is held in the MMOMA building at 10/1 Gogolevsky Boulevard until 18 May.
