The Louvre Abu Dhabi is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and the public has at last been shown the generous gift the museum has received: Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece "John the Baptist". The painting, dating from the early sixteenth century, has passed from the Louvre in Paris to the collection of the Louvre Abu Dhabi for two years and will be shown in the permanent display.
