The Historical and Archival Institute. A photograph from the late 1990s: 25 October Street has only recently become Nikolskaya Street again, but has not yet become the pedestrian one we know today

2013: hurrah! Nikolskaya is pedestrianised and has almost acquired its present-day appearance.  
2018: Nikolskaya Street becomes the largest venue in the world for introducing Italians to "Muscovite girls", despite the national team's fatal failure in the qualifying stage
