Interest in contemporary art has long proved that fairs and exhibitions are events not only for professionals and old hands of the art market, but also for a great many people with no connection to art, or only just beginning their acquaintance with young, living artists. Among my acquaintances, many began their collections precisely by attending such an event for the first time. It is pleasant news, then, that the Association of Galleries has launched a fair of its own, one oriented towards a new solidarity of the entire art community, since it is organised by the gallerists themselves.

And so the “Little Winter Fair” will be held in Moscow for the first time from 23 to 25 December at the Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art. To attend so important an event at the close of the year, one need not hunt for invitations or beg to go as somebody’s plus one: tickets to the fair may be bought on the website of the [Association of Galleries](https://agarussia.art/?ref=theparnassian.com), on the event’s [page](http://yarmarka-aga.ru/?ref=theparnassian.com), and simply at Winzavod itself.

Above all, it is a gathering of kindred spirits, as the list of participants confirms: 11.12 GALLERY, ARTZIP Gallery, a-s-t-r-a, FINE ART GALLERY, Pogodina Gallery, pop/off/art, Syntax, VLADEY, XL Gallery, ARTSTORY gallery, JART gallery, Ruarts gallery, the Eastern Gallery, the “Gridchinhall” gallery, E.K.ArtBureau, Krokin Gallery, the “KultProekt” gallery, the “Kupol” gallery and the “Triumph” gallery; a special stand will present works from the collections of the Association’s member galleries.  
Among the partners are major alcohol and luxury brands, and the general partner is “Borodin’s Meat House”.
