# Queen of Beasts Card from an Early Western European Deck of 1450 to 1467

A playing card showing a woman entirely covered in hair, embracing a unicorn. The drawing dates from 1450-1467 and belongs to one of the earliest Western European card packs. As you can see, fifteenth-century cards differed greatly from modern ones: you will scarcely find a suit marker here, for instance. But the division by rank existed even then. In particular, there were kings and queens. Before us is the queen card, the queen of beasts.
