I kept wondering why the exhibition in the Green Foyer of the Moscow Art Theatre, devoted to six productions of "The Seagull" and at the same time to Chekhov's 165th anniversary, is called "From Konstantin to Konstantin". It turns out that what is meant is from Konstantin Stanislavsky, the founder of the theatre, to Konstantin Khabensky, its artistic director since 2021\. A little immodest, isn't it? Still, that is nothing compared with the fact that the exhibition was originally to be called "Khabensky's Seagull".
