Christ's head in "Man of Sorrows", attributed to the late Botticelli, is encircled by a halo of angels bearing the instruments of the Passion. The Cross is planted right on the crown of his head. This painting, attributed in recent times as a work by Botticelli, will go under the hammer at Sotheby's in January 2022 with an estimate of 40 million dollars. Until then, Christ can be seen at the pre-auction exhibition
