Ekaterina Tolstaya, at the presentation of the “Tolstoy” theatre festival, which will run from 24 to 27 June, said that for the centenary of the museum at Yasnaya Polyana, besides the restoration of the early eighteenth-century mirrors, the balcony, the blind areas and the threshing barn,  
two new venues will be opened outside the museum walls: the “Tolstoy Centre” in Tula, with items from the Yasnaya Polyana collection and an exhibition devoted to life in Tula in Tolstoy’s day, and the Museum of Zemstvo Self-Government in Krapivna, which was once the actual centre of the district and where Lev Nikolayevich was often a visitor. Well, we shall wait and see. The main day of celebrations to mark the jubilee is planned for 10 June.
