# The Director Is Not Coping, But Do Not Worry: a Letter Has Already Been Written on Her Behalf

The director is not coping, but do not worry: a letter has already been written on her behalf. Signed by colleagues, relatives, friends, and grandmother's dog. Fifty-seven people in all. Who they are hardly matters. What matters is that there are many of them.

It is a proper letter, handsome and humane. It speaks of mission, of humanity, of fear. Everything as it should be. Of responsibility there seems to be nothing. And as for the director not coping, that is merely temporary. The point, after all, is not to cope, but to make sure it all looks like a concept.

A theft? Oh, come now, what theft! This is an artistic act. The world is cruel, while culture is delicate. And people steal not out of greed but out of love of the beautiful. Everything by the statutes: first they lose it, then they sign, then they explain.

And the directress... the directress may, from time to time, rest. Her business is to inspire; as for the writing, there is always someone to do it.

Her salary is 15 thousand euros a month. That is not pay for labour, of course, what nonsense; it is a stipend for inspiration. So that she may think of lofty things, and not of trifles such as the safekeeping of the exhibits.

That is how it is with us: if you cannot manage to lead, there will always be someone who knows how to compose letters.
