And in Saint Petersburg, until 31 December (for the time being) one may (God willing) still visit the exhibition "Joseph Brodsky. Preserve My Shadow", built on the interiors and the history of the one and a half rooms in a communal flat at 24 Liteyny, where the Brodsky family lived. Photographs of the unpoetic daily life of a major Russian poet are transferred onto the garden wall in the garden of the [Fountain House](https://akhmatova.spb.ru/?ref=theparnassian.com). It is an excellent interactive project: you press the doorbell and hear the voice of Joseph Brodsky, while inside are the poet's personal belongings, drafts and recordings. The organisers speak of their initiative as a model of poetic archaeology.
